One of my players was born on Kaladesh, spark ingnited, and then grew up on Zendikar. I plan on having them go to another plane of their choice after they take care of Kaladesh, which will probably be Zendikar.
My group was pissed when they find out he's just hypocritical due to the fact he's using magic to hunt down these other mages.

Over at Dragon+, Wizards of the Coast has published James Wyatts Plane Shift: Innistrad, a free pdf that introduces Dungeons & Dragons to Magic. They are planning on confronting Tezzeret by request from Jace, Liliana, and Ajani. They actually just met up with the rest of the GW at the end of our last session. I'm not having them replace the Gatewatch, but they are definitely driving the action more. The easiest way to approach a D&D campaign set on Zendikar is to use the rules that D&D provides mostly as. All but 1 of them are planeswalkers already (with varying amounts of experience). You can think of Plane Shift: Zendikar as a sort of supplement to The Art of Magic: The GatheringZendikar, designed to help you take the world details and story seeds contained in that book and turn them into an exciting D&D campaign.
